Quilt?
I've been wanting to make a new quilt project (or a few? I think probably more than one...) lately and I think I'm going to try making a rag quilt! It sounds like a good project for me because I have a really hard time getting everything perfectly cut and lined up - this type of construction is very forgiving to small
mistakes : )
I found a simple tutorial here, and it looks like a great project for beginning quilters (or quilters who need a quick gift or just don't have time for a big project). I searched around on Flickr and found a few great examples:
1. Darla Rag Quilt- Front, 2. Shabby Chic Rag Quilt, 3. Rag Time, 4. "Diva" baby rag quilt,
5. Oh Boy! Rag Quilt, 6. Rag Quilt, 7. Park Slope Rag Quilt, 8. Paisley Punch Rag Quilt,
9. rag quilt owls, 10. wheels rag quilt, 11. I love color too Rag Quilt, 12. Rag quilt --Green Goddess,
What do you think? Would you ever try making a quilt like this (or have you made one?)?

I have made some very simpel quilt. (look on my blog). Seweral of them are made of fabric found in second hands shop because I like the idea of recykling. I also made some super easy babyquilts that I have donated to the Red Cross here in Denmark to be send abroad.
I can't wait to see what you will be creating.
I made a rag quilt 2 years ago and I'm told that baby, that is now almost 2, will not go anywhere, especially to sleep, without it. you can see it here:

These are fun to make! Quick, easy, a bit messy (sometimes they seem to be 'extra thready'). You can make them thick and toasty, or light and comfy.
Can't wait to see your finished product!
The quilts in the pics are really great! I think a try is worth it!!!
