A (free!) DIY cat toy my cats actually loved...

I've made quite a few toys for my cats (some were played with until they fell apart and others were completely ignored) and I'm always on the lookout for creative DIY pet projects.  When I saw this idea knew I had to make my own version!  It was the easiest thing ever and didn't cost a penny.  I saved up ten cardboard tubes from TP and paper towel rolls, then glued them into a pyramid.

I put treats in each of the tubs and my cats went crazy trying to get them out!  They proved their intelligence by working from opposite sides and using their paws to retrieve the treats.  I tried to get a photo of them with their paws in the tubes, but I was too slow!  It was really cute, though.

If you have five minutes to make one of these for your own cat, I'd highly recommend it!  This would be a simple project for kids to help with, too.

Awesome!

I save loo roles for the bunny to play with! I'm sure he can spare a few for his big sister :D
